The Day!!

Well...
Its a brand new day and its ending too!!
Came back from flight late last night.. Reached home abt 0025hrs and felt too tired, so I didnt update.. Watched tv with some of the kids b4 falling asleep...

On board, I did a welcome song for all the passengers and they were clapping and cheering for me!!! Other than that, nothing much happened except there were China passengers on board ( as usual ) on our Bangkok flight and wat surprised me most was there was someone wearing tudung!! & she was from Kunming, Republic of China. She was a little paranoid about eating our meals at first as she was afraid that it was not Halal..
My in-charge called me in and she spoke to me in Mandarin... ( luckily I could speak fluently )
Conversation goes like this : -
( after being translated in English )

Me : Yes mem, how can I help you?
Her : Sorry, but is the aircraft food "Halal"?
Me : Yes, it is mem.
Her : Are you a Muslim?
Me : Yes mem. I am one.
Her : Islam's ur religion?
Me : Yes mem.
( By now, I got a little irritated, but I smiled as broadly as I could )
Her : You read prayers and pray 5 times a day too?
Me : Yes mem. ( whispers in my heart - but not all the time )
Her : Do you recite a line before every meal?
Me : Yes mem. Of course I do.
Her : Can you recite it for me?
Me : Sure. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim....
Her : Oh, now that I hear you saying it, I am so relieved that there is someone who has the same religion as I am.
Me : Its my pleasure mem...
And then, I walked away....

Its really funny, but you know they were even more piased than we all are. It brought a little "kesedaran" in me... But I forgot all about it later... =)
Upon touching down in Bangkok, the ground staff gave me my KFC.. He bought me one whole tub of KFC and there was 10 pieces of chicken in it!!!

Before disembarkation into Singapore, one passenger came up to me and passed me a small little plastic bag. He asked us to go get a few pieces of tissue paper. Being stupid and blur, I went to get it without asking why.
When I went back to his seat, he passed me a few pieces of fried grasshopper!!! I got shocked but kept calm. He told us to try it and said it was nice. I brought it home and fried it again this morning... Not bad!!!

This evening, I stayed home and did nothing until about 1730. Met Hanin and Priya in town to celebrate Lynn's birthday. We decided to go for dinner at Seoul Garden. Before that, me & Hanin was looking high and low for a small little cake enough for the 4 of us to finish it up!!!
We ate and ate and ate and stayed till it closed!! Can you imagine the four of us came at 1830 and left at 2200!!! Big eaters huh??!!

The rest is history and............. the pics are here for you to view!!!
( that is to keep the story short... that's why )

Sit back and enjoy......
